Ruin This Website
One shared website that becomes visibly worse as people visit it. Every incarnation starts at full health and can accumulate up to 200 visual mutations before a clean successor begins.
How the experiment works
After the page remains open for five seconds, the server records a visit and may apply a deterministic change to a registered visual element. The resulting state is broadcast to connected visitors, so everyone sees the same incarnation rather than a private version.
Method and safeguards
Mutations use a versioned map of approved elements and CSS properties. Navigation, explanatory content, and policy information remain protected so the project stays understandable even when its experimental interface becomes difficult to read.
JavaScript is required to watch the live health state and shared mutations. You can still read the privacy policy.
